  April 17, 2026 A big thank you to our volunteers for making the Aggie Days trip a success. It was an exciting day of exploring, learning, and cheering. The rodeo was a highlight, as were the newborn piglets. We continued working on crafting paragraphs this week and have been working on a piece of persuasive writing as we try to convince Mr. B. of a request of ours! Our midpoint check-ins for multiplication and division came home today, as did a sample of paragraph writing.   April 9, 2026 We had a great week of dancing with our Hip Hop instructor from Sound Kreations. We are also busy learning about living systems as we prepare to make our dioramas. Thank you for sending in boxes! We have also been busy writing convincing paragraphs and learned how a paragraph is much like a hamburger.  Learning Intentions: Grade 3:  I can recognize families of related multiplication and division number facts.   April 2, 2026  It was great to be back after spring break and see everyone. It was a short but busy week of practicing our multiplication and division skills, expanding our writing craft, and continuing Earth Systems learning as well as learning about Artemis II and marking the event in our visual journals with representations of our learning. And hockey!  Grade 3: Create written texts for a variety of audiences and purposes. Create written texts using a variety of forms and structures. Use organizational processes, methods, or tools to support the creation of written texts. Sequence sections of writing in a logical order. March 19, 2026 As we move into spring, we marked the Spring Equinox by engaging with a video from Saa’kokoto (Elder Randy Bottle). We learned that as the land and seasons change, and the world around us is filled with a fresh sense of newness, we too can make some goals and take time to listen to the teachings around us. As a class, we will continue exploring and learning more after the break. This week, we loved the Mission Impossible challenge in PE, spirit days, and the fact that it was so beautiful out! We began examining the structures of a paragraph and crafting some thoughtful and convincing paragraphs of our own.  Learning Intentions: Grade 3:  Compose a product, using equal groups of objects.
