April 2, 2026

It was great to be back after spring break and see everyone. It was a short but busy week of practicing our multiplication and division skills, expanding our writing craft, and continuing Earth Systems learning as well as learning about Artemis II and marking the event in our visual journals with representations of our learning. And hockey!

  • Sequence sections of writing in a logical order.

  • Three to five sentences that add detail or description to ideas or information can be combined to construct a paragraph.

Grade 4:

  • Create written texts for a variety of audiences and purposes.

  • Create written texts using a variety of text forms and structures.

  • Develop creative expression through the use of organizational processes, methods, and tools.

This week the Grade 3s and 4s wrote their first paragraphs! They chose a topic they care a lot about and drafted a topic sentence, three supporting details and a closing sentence. The students did a great job using hooks and convincing evidence to support their topic. In the next few weeks we will continue practicing writing paragraphs about various topics.

Upcoming dates and reminders:

  • We are beginning to collect shoe boxes for a diorama project in science- please send any spares our way!

  • Our library exchange will be on Tuesday for this upcoming week only

  • April 16- Grade ¾ trip to Aggie Days. If you are interested in volunteering, there is still an opportunity.

Have a wonderful weekend and see you soon!
